Why We Built This Site
Missouri offers several public access routes, but none is a complete St. Louis City history by itself. The City Division of Corrections, rather than the Sheriff, runs the City Justice Center and its inmate locator. The 22nd Judicial Circuit Clerk records filed charges and dispositions, while the Missouri State Highway Patrol CJIS Division maintains statewide criminal-history data through MACHS. SLMPD Records, Missouri Department of Corrections, and Missouri Sex Offender Registry searches answer still different questions. We organize the official search steps, fees, addresses, and contact points while keeping those custodians distinct.
What You Will Find Here
- Local record routes: how to search and interpret St. Louis City court cases
- Official record reviews: how Missouri name-based and fingerprint checks differ through MACHS
- Custodian details: where to reach SLMPD, City Corrections, the Circuit Clerk, and state systems
- Record-closing information: where Missouri expungement petitions are filed and which official sources to consult
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not part of a Missouri court, police department, corrections office, sheriff's office, or state agency. Its role has firm limits:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every published fee, address, or telephone number remains current
Only the office that maintains a record, such as SLMPD, City Corrections, the Circuit Clerk, or MSHP CJIS, can issue its official copy.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes found on some pages. Each provider controls its own results, service terms, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee for us, which supports free access to the resource. We do not set the provider's charges or decide which information it returns.
