Official St. Louis City criminal records must come from the office that maintains them. Court files, police reports, booking records, and statewide criminal histories have different custodians. The contacts below route each request without treating the independent City as part of St. Louis County.

This Is Not a Government Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot pull criminal records, run official background checks, remove or correct a record, or accept expungement filings for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the right government office directly.

Need an Official Record?

Use the custodian that created or maintains the St. Louis City record:

  • Court case files: use the St. Louis City court case lookup or contact the Circuit Clerk at 10 North Tucker Boulevard, 314-622-4433, weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Municipal cases: contact Municipal Court customer service at 1520 Market Street, Suite 1120, 314-622-3231, weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Police incident and arrest reports: contact the SLMPD Records Service Center, 1915 Olive Street, first floor, 314-444-5551, weekdays 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; non-involved requests use City GOVQA
  • Booking and current custody: contact the City Justice Center at 200 South Tucker Boulevard, 314-621-5848; the facility operates 24 hours
  • State criminal histories: order through the Missouri State Highway Patrol CJIS Division using MACHS
  • City public records: use the City Sunshine process, call 314-657-1326, or reach the City Counselor at 1200 Market Street, Room 314, 314-622-3361, weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

St. Louis has no single sheriff records counter for all criminal records. The Division of Corrections holds City Justice Center booking files, SLMPD holds its reports, and the Circuit Clerk holds filed court documents.
